One of the features that Apple made available in iOS & iPadOS 16 and later that I cherish greatly is the ability to copy my current Wi-Fi network password to my clipboard so that I can paste it elsewhere in the operating system, whether that’s a text message, a note to myself, or something else.
Unfortunately, jailbreakers on iOS & iPadOS 15 haven’t been so lucky to have this feature natively on their device all this time, which is why iOS developer NightwindDev has released a free jailbreak tweak called SettingsWiFiPassword that adds a copy Wi-Fi password feature to these devices.
As depicted in the screenshot examples above, SettingsWiFiPassword adds a new button to the top-right of any Wi-Fi network preference pane in the Settings app that appears like an unlocked padlock glyph. Once tapped, a pop-up appears showing you not only your Wi-Fi network’s name, but also the password.
Users have the option to either dismiss the pop-up or to copy the password as text to their clipboard so that they can paste it somewhere else in the operating system.
It’s important to note that SettingsWiFiPassword only works with Wi-Fi networks that you’re currently connected to, so you won’t be able to use it to guess passwords from non-connected networks. On the other hand, it’s a great way to make sharing Wi-Fi passwords with others that much easier.
Apple themselves added a similar feature in iOS & iPadOS 16 and later, so this is a highly requested feature. Fortunately, even those running a jailbroken installation of iOS & iPadOS 11-15, can now enjoy the same benefits, even without updating and losing their current jailbreak.

There are two separate versions – one for rootless jailbreaks and one for rootful.
