iPhone 16e is announced, and orders are live! Apple, seemingly moving away from the budget market, has packed the newest handheld with upgraded features, replacing the “SE” line with a modern “16” device variant.

Shockingly, the iPhone 16e includes a Super Retina XDR display with an OLED panel and 460 ppi resolution. If you’re wondering why the 16e isn’t $429 like the previous SE lineup, the HDR-ready display is one likely reason.
While the device lacks the full camera array of the higher-end iPhone 16 models, it does include a 2-in-1 camera system, featuring a 12MP 2x telephoto zoom and a standard 48MP camera.
The current-generation A18 chipset is also onboard, another feature contributing to the price increase, along with FaceID and Dolby Vision-compatible 4K video recording.

Therefore, it has “Apple Intelligence Inside.” A fun play on the old Intel Inside advertising campaign from the early ’90s PC market, BasicAppleGuy has a set of chromatic stickers featuring the Apple six-color palette and Apple Intelligence logo.
