Conclusion
The new iPhone 16e is a budget-conscious smartphone starting at just $599, but you still get a lot of bang for your buck. Notably missing from this model that other handsets have is MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging, an ingress protection rating, a high-speed USB-C data port, a 1TB storage option, the Dynamic Island, and some of the higher-end camera features found on multi-camera models. There may be other cut corners as well, but for the cost, you’re still really getting one heck of a smartphone. I imagine this will be popular as a business phone or for those testing the waters ont he iOS platform from another platform for the first time.
