The first images that spark(l)ed my interest for today’s collection were found on X by @vukandric. In the gallery below, the first two wallpapers are offered by this digital artist. Simplicity is captured in the focus to both singular, minimal, round ornaments. Each of them also uses a muted color, instead of a more stereotypic red, gold, or silver. Each orb is hung neatly in the evergreen tree, a microcosm of holiday cheer.
While the swirling, hectic holiday world passes by, perhaps at a family or friendly gathering, each of these images captures the small simplicity of the season. That something so small and simple can have such big impact in setting the mood for a season of joy and merriment. Would we all be better to slow down and notice such simple trimmings that make up a cheerful scene.
