Change the size of Emojis on your iPhone’s keyboard with EmoZoom

Starting with iOS 18.1 and later, Emojis appear larger in the iOS keyboard, making them easier to tap (and easier to see for those with less than stellar eyesight).

Inspired by this change, iOS developer PoomSmart has released a new and free jailbreak tweak called EmoZoom that brings the ability to re-size Emojis in the iOS keyboard on older jailbroken versions of iOS to whatever you want.

Once installed, EmoZoom adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app where you can configure the tweak to your liking:

Here, you are able to configure the following options:

  • Toggle EmoZoom on or off on demand
  • Choosing an Emoji size for your keyboard
    • Do not set
    • 20
    • 24
    • 32 (iPhone default)
    • 38
    • 48 (iPad default)
    • 56
    • 64
    • 72
    • 96
    • 128
    • 196
  • Choosing an Emoji size for your iPad Split Keyboard
    • Do not set
    • 20
    • 24
    • 32 (default)
    • 38
    • 48
    • 56
    • 64
    • 72
    • 96
    • 128
    • 196
  • Remove horizontal spacing from the keyboard
  • Remove vertical spacing from the keyboard

As you can probably tell, there is a lot of room for user customization here. Whether you prefer smaller Emoji in the keyboard interface or larger ones, this tweak puts you behind the steering wheel so that you can size them to your standards.

According to the depiction page, EmoZoom supports jailbroken iOS 8-17 devices, so you can use it on pretty much any modern jailbreak whether it’s rootless or not.

If you’re interested in giving EmoZoom a try for yourself, then you may download it for free from the Chariz repository via your favorite package manager app.
