We’ve seen a lot of different kinds of software that harness the SparseRestore exploit to perform unique hacks on non-jailbroken devices running iOS 17 and even certain versions of iOS 18. Among one of the most popular is Nugget, an app for macOS and Windows by iOS developer LeminLimez.

In a post shared via social media platform X (formerly Twitter), LeminLimez announced the release of Nugget version 4.2, which appears to incorporate a plethora of not only new features, bug fixes as well. Citing the change log, this release incorporates the following changes:

If you’re already a Nugget user, then you should update to the latest version at your earliest convenience to take advantage of the latest features and bug fixes. The software is already available to download from the developer’s GitHub page.
While Nugget can apply jailbreak tweak-like hacks on non-jailbroken devices running iOS 17.0-18.2 beta 2, it’s worth noting that certain modifications made in this manner do run the risk of boot-looping your device. That said, these customizations aren’t for the faint of heart, and we strongly recommend backing up your data before trying them should you decide to move forward.
Nugget is a separate project from Nugget Mobile. The latter instead offers similar SparseRestore exploit-based device customization options without the need for a computer.
