For the iPhone 16 Pro lineup, Apple launched its latest system on a chip design with a 64-bit ARM architecture. The new SoC uses a second generation 3nm process manufactured by TSMC. The wonderful symmetry of this design is captured in an extensive Apple A18 Pro wallpaper pack featuring the colorful Apple Intelligence color array.

The A18 Pro also has a more extensive capability when it comes to new display engines, improved USB controllers, and new image signal processors. The USB-C combines with the A18 Pro for 10Gb/s speeds on data transfers.
According to PC Mag, the A18 Pro is about 10% faster on average in benchmark tests when compared to the A18 in the non-Pro iPhone 16 devices. Per the Apple announcement event, Apple claims the A18 Pro is 15% faster on Apple Intelligence AI tasks when compared to the A17 Pro.
Regardless of speed, the SoC architecture has an impressive circuitry design.
