It looks like AltStore isn’t the only sideloading application receiving updates this Wednesday. In an announcement post shared to /r/jailbreak just this afternoon, the Sideloadly team announced that it too had released an update to its sideloading utility.

In the aforementioned announcement post, we learn about the release of Sideloadly version 0.55.0 and what it brings the table. The change log cites the following changes and improvements over the previous version (0.50.0):
– Faster IPA processing, signing, and uploading: We’ve made speed improvements to make the sideloading process faster than ever!
– App ID tracking: Sideloadly will now display the number of available (weekly) App IDs remaining for each Apple ID.
– Progress indicators: Signing, uploading, and installing progress will now be shown in percentages.
– Automatic retries: Sideloadly will automatically retry up to four times on failed attempts, then prompt the user to continue if issue persists.
– App refresh display: Now, you can see which app was refreshed on which device.
– Resolved an issue where certain IPAs failed to install due to multiple PlugIns and Extensions.
– Fixed the recurring LOCKDOWN_E_MUX error that appeared if an IPA took too long to process.
– Corrected a verification code popup issue.
– Fixed a crash issue on older versions of macOS (requires reinstalling Sideloadly to resolve).
– Improved installation logs for greater clarity.
– Various other bug fixes and improvements.
Thanks to improvements with sideloading speed, the addition of progress indicators, and automatic retries, the sideloading process has just become faster, easier to understand, and more resilient than ever before after today’s update to Sideloadly. The bug fixes and improvements are just as important, as this means fewer hiccups while using the software.
The developers did state in the post that a future update will address community-reported issues and add support for Apple IDs with Advanced Data Protection and JIT. On the other hand, development of the platform has slowed because funding is extremely limited. It’s possible to help fund the project by becoming a Patreon. It’s important to note, however, that this isn’t required as Sideloadly is a free utility.
Sideloadly is often considered a more convenient alternative to the AltStore and AltServer combination because you aren’t required to keep an app on both your iPhone or iPad and your Mac or PC to keep it running. Instead, a single app on your Mac or PC is used to sideload .ipa files on your iPhone or iPad. You still need to re-sign sideloaded apps as often as your Apple Developer account requires.
If you’re not already taking advantage of Sideloadly, then you can download it for free from the official Sideloadly website.
