Add a customizable colored outline to your Dock with WireDock

Who doesn’t love a good fun and quirky jailbreak tweak every now and again? Fortunately, iOS developers Christian Kosman and CydiaGeek know exactly what we mean by this, and the result is a free jailbreak tweak called WireDock.

As you can see in the screenshot example above, WireDock lets the end user apply a colored outline to their Home Screen’s Dock. The outline can be any color the end user wants, and moreover, its thickness can also be customized to the user’s liking.

Once installed, users will find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where the aforementioned parameters can be configured:

Here, a color picker allows the user to choose almost any color they want. Rather than a list of colors, the color picker offers seemingly endless possibilities. The other option is the adjust the width of the outline, which can make it weightier or thinner, depending on your preference.

WireDock is a purely aesthetic add-on that doesn’t affect the function of the Home Screen’s Dock. On the other hand, if colors are important to you and an outline around your Dock could help your desired aesthetic pop over the top of your Home Screen’s wallpaper, then this might be just the add-on for you.

WireDock supports jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 15 and 16 devices and is available as a free download from the YouRepo repository via whatever package manager app you might be using.

If you’re not already using the YouRepo repository, and you’d like to get started with it, then you can add it your package manager app with the URL below:
