Nugget Mobile, a mobile on-device iPhone customization platform that utilizes the SparseRestore exploit to allow for jailbreak tweak-like hacks without any jailbreak required, received an update on Thursday to version 2.0.

Nugget Mobile lead developer LeminLimez announced the update in a post shared to X (formerly Twitter), noting that it probably won’t receive any further updates.
As it would appear, LeminLimez had been personally targeted by doxing and harassment schemes relating to a leaker that claimed the work as their own when it wasn’t. This specifically de-motivated LeminLimez to continue working on Nugget Mobile, prompting them to distance themself from it. We can’t blame them.
Nugget Mobile v2.0 adds partial support for iOS 18.1 betas 6 and 7, with no guarantees that it will work perfectly. This was precisely what LeminLimez referred to when they said, “since it’s already public, might as well release and let Apple patch it,” referring of course to the fact that a leaker had already shared it.
The change log also notes that Minimuxer may or may not be problematic on these versions, given how it’s not extensively tested, and that this release adds support for TrollStore writing directly and improves the skip setup code.
LeminLimez may still continue to support the desktop versions of Nugget for macOS and Windows, but as Nugget Mobile has become a painful wound for the developer, we don’t expect future updates, and you shouldn’t either.
It’s always unfortunate when projects end abruptly, but for whatever reason there is always some clown that tries to make examples out of great developers for personal clout, and that’s unfortunately what happened to our friend LeminLimez here. While we wish this didn’t happen, it transpires all too often to developers in our community.
In any case, you can view the latest version of Nugget Mobile on the project’s GitHub page.
