NoPasteAlerts16 does away with the paste permission alerts in iOS 16 and later

Starting with iOS & iPadOS 16, Apple’s mobile operating systems have a somewhat nagging way of asking whether you want to share pasting rights with certain apps and interfaces or not when copying/cutting something and move to another app or interface to paste it.

While some people appreciate this extra layer of security that lets them deny access to potentially unwanted apps and interfaces, the fact remains that it’s an extra step that lots of users would rather not be bothered by. That’s why iOS developer 0xkuj launched a free jailbreak tweak called NoPasteAlerts16.

According to the developer in their /r/jailbreak release post, they made NoPasteAlerts16 as a result of users reporting that the CopyLogFix16 jailbreak tweak wasn’t working as expected. Moreover, while the developer acknowledges that there are other jailbreak tweaks that do this, none of them were open source and NoPasteAlerts16 is.

NoPasteAlerts16 completely does away with these alerts that were created by Apple to give users the ability to deny access to the Paste Board by apps and interfaces. That said, while some people might not want to use this due to the security and privacy of blocking requests on a whim, others may prefer not seeing them at all.

Those wanting to use the NoPasteAlerts16 jailbreak tweak can download it for free from 0xkuj’s personal repository via their favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken devices running iOS or iPadOS 16 and later whether that jailbreak is rootful or rootless. The tweak is also open source on the developer’s GitHub page for anyone interested in learning more about how it works under the hood.
