Looking to save and restore multiple different Home Screen layouts on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad? If so, then we think you might take interest in a newly released jailbreak tweak called Icon Restore by iOS developer 82flex.
With Icon Restore, you can easily save your existing Home Screen app icon layout or restore to a previously saved Home Screen app icon layout with just the tap of a button.
Whether you’re the type of person who changes your Home Screen’s app icon layout on a frequent basis, or you use jailbreak tweaks and add-ons to completely revamp the Home Screen for your theme usage or otherwise, this tweak could come in handy.
As you can see in the screenshot examples above, the tweak adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app with a button entitled “Create Icon Layout.” When tapped, you’re prompted to enter a name to save the new layout under.
At any time, users may tap on a previously saved layout in the list to re-apply it to the Home Screen. A prompt confirming the action lets the user tap “Apple” to acknowledge the change.
That’s basically the extent of what Icon Restore does in a nutshell, and while it’s a simple tweak, it’s also a powerful one that I think will see lots of use.
If you’re interested in giving Icon Restore a try for yourself, then you may download it for free from the Havoc repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 15 and 16 devices only.
