On Monday, August 26, Apple sent out invitations to an upcoming media event where the company is all but certain to unveil new iPhones along other products.
The invitation, which features an array of spiraling colors around the Apple logo, includes the tagline, “It’s Glowtime.
Naturally, Apple pundits will attempt to read clues found in the spiraling color aura. We are simply going to enjoy Glowtime wallpapers for our iPhone.

The upcoming event, hosted at [emphasis added by Apple] Steve Jobs Theater on Monday, September 9 at 10:00AM PT, is expected to unveil the latest Apple handset. Additionally, rumorists expect updates to some versions of the iPad line and perhaps upgrades to the AirPods Pro lineup. While AirPods Max are long-in-the-tooth, a refresh may come just in time for the December holiday season, matching the original launch date in early December.
Regularly featured graphic artist @BasicAppleGuy quickly put together two very compelling wallpapers inspired by the event invitation graphic. Playing on the spiraling, maybe one could even say “swirling,” color bands, the two downloads also capture the Apple logo similar to the actual invite.
Both a full color and “dark mode” download were included in his launch! Grab them for your iPhone below.
BasicAppleGuy didn’t stop there. You can download versions for desktop and iPad, by visiting his dedicated blog post, which announced the Glowtime inspired set.
The new devices, whether just iPhone or an assortment of additional devices, will be shown with awesome advertising wallpapers. When the event concludes, versions of the marketing imagery allow digital artists to make versions ad hoc.
