This is $150 cheaper than Apple currently has them listed for, and just $5 off the all-time low-price. So if you are even remotely in the market, this might be your sign to buy.
Yes, it’s true these headphones are likely nearing the end of their lifecycle, as rumors suggest we’ll see an updated model with USB-C before the end of the year. But if you dig the design of the Max and don’t mind dealing with a Lightning cable or an adapter, you probably won’t see a price much cheaper than this anytime soon.

Why you should buy the AirPods Max
We really don’t need to go through the whole list of features here. You know that AirPods Max, and really all AirPods models, feature an H1 chip that makes them almost magical to use with your Apple devices—automatic pairing and connection, Spacial Audio, seamless handoff between devices, battery widgets and much more. These headphones aren’t hands-down the best-rated cans ever produced, but they are always in the mix at the top with the other Sony and Bose models in their price range.
It’s also worth noting that other than USB-C and perhaps new colorways, no other significant changes have been rumored yet for the new version of the Max, so you have to ask yourself if such a small update is worth waiting for. Here you can throw a Lightning-to-USB-C adapter on the charging cable and really never have to worry about it again. And again, you’re saving $150, or more, depending on what the new ones are going to cost.
