Dual SIM functionality really took off on the iPhone platform with the adoption of eSIM technology. What first started out as one physical SIM and one eSIM quickly became dual eSIM to become the new standard today.
But not everyone has the extra dough to cough up to run dual carriers on their iPhone, and while most people are satisfied with only one, iOS developer CydiaGeek has just released a new and free jailbreak tweak called FakeDualSIM that can make it look like you have dual carriers, even if you don’t.
Once installed, FakeDualSIM duplicates your existing signal strength indicator in your iPhone’s Status Bar to make it look like you’re running dual SIMs, even though you aren’t. It uses the native dual carrier interface so that it looks realistic, and only you will know it isn’t.
While FakeDualSIM offers no practical functionality, it does give users a more exciting Status Bar to look at by unlocking a feature normally only reserved to dual SIM users.
According to the developer, FakeDualSIM is compatible with jailbroken arm64e devices running iOS 13 and later and it doesn’t have any options to configure. Simply installing the tweak is enough to kickstart its functionality, and you can remove it at any time if you decide you don’t want to spoof having dual carriers anymore.
If you’re interested in giving FakeDualSIM a try, then you can download it for free from the YouRepo repository via your favorite package manager app.
