The vibrant screens of Apple’s modern devices showcase color in a way not previously seen on handsets. In particular, the OLED panels allow for incredible, bright, popping colors, which are showcased in this week’s selection for the iDB Wallpapers of the Week. Bright HDR purple foliage wallpapers for iPhone feature rich hue backgrounds and a singular, minimalistic subject.

In this week’s collection, we are featuring photographer and digital artist Marek Piwnicki. Piwnicki’s more than 3,600 images can be viewed, collected, and downloaded via the unsplash.com photographer community website. Unsplash is a license free repository of photographer collections, all of which have the chance to inspire your next Apple device wallpaper.
Piwnicki appears to focus a majority of photographs on natural landscapes, think vast sweeping mountain ranges, intimate back city streets, and animals in their natural habitat. Woven through other uploads, I found these fun, minimal foliage shots with popping background colors. While I’m not versed enough to recognize these individual plants, I am enamored by the play with color.
If you’ve been a follower of our wallpaper gallery, you may know that, since the purple M1 iMac, purple is catching my eye. When scrolling through Piwnicki’s collection, all of these purple hued images stood out. If I had to pick just one as my favorite, the first download wins. The consistent, yet subtle, purple gradient makes for a smooth transition, but does not rely on the inclusion of another color — just purple.
