Animated app icons without a jailbreak

Bryce Bostwick’s animated app icons for the Home Screen.

A talented developer by the name of Bryce Bostwick has discovered a seamless way to animate Home Screen app icons without a jailbreak.

This method doesn’t require an app to be foregrounded, nor does it require the app to show a pop-up notification each time the app icon changes.

iOS 17.5 unsigned

iOS 17 downgrade firmware.

Apple on Tuesday stopped signing iOS & iPadOS 17.5 in a move that prevents firmware downgrades from the newer iOS & iPadOS 17.5.1.

This predictable move on Apple’s part helps keep people from running out of date firmware, which results in issues getting on hackable firmware when the time comes.
