WatchGeneration, a French-language blog,  has learned that Apple France has summoned its retail staff for a June 24 meeting to discuss a “big novelty,” according to machine translation. A few days later, on Friday, June 28, there will be a staff “VM night” to prepare marketing visuals in stores for unveiling the following day.

Other major EU markets like Germany and Italy could get Vision Pro on the same day. The United Kingdom, which hasn’t been in the European Union since Brexit, is also an important market for Apple, so all those countries may easily get the headset on Saturday, June 29 (the same date the original iPhone went on sale).

Apple’s boss, Tim Cook, said earlier that Vision Pro would expand to mainland China sometime later this year. The visionOS code holds additional clues as to when early adopters in other countries can expect to get their hands on the headset.

The latest version of visionOS has added eleven new virtual keyboard languages, suggesting those countries will be getting the headset this year.

The new keyboard languages have been added for Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, Canada, China, Singapore and South Korea.

How much will Vision Pro cost in Europe?

The $3500 headset debuted in the United States in February, but Apple has remained mum about international availability.

When it arrives in the EU, the product may be prohibitively expensive. At $3500 in the United States, the headset is too pricey for mainstream adoption.

With the cost of doing business in Europe higher than in the United States and inflation still a big issue, it would be unrealistic to expect Vision Pro’s American price tag to remain unchanged in Europe. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Vision Pro ends up costing around €5000 in Europe.
