Getting too many notifications from the Netflix app? Learn how to customize your preferences to choose the type of notifications Netflix sends you, or simply turn them all off.

Choose the type of notifications Netflix sends you
The Netflix app can send you notifications for multiple things like new seasons of TV shows, new movies, recommendations on what to watch, Netflix games, offers, account updates, and much more.
You can choose the categories for which you want to get alerts and opt out of the rest. This setting will apply to all the iOS and Android devices you use Netflix on.
1) Visit Netflix.com in a web browser and sign in if you haven’t already. Note that this feature is not available in the Netflix app.
2) Click the profile picture icon from the top right and select Account.
3) In the PROFILE & PARENTAL CONTROLS section, click the arrow for your profile and hit Change next to Notification settings.
4) Select Manage Push Notifications.
5) Turn off the switches for the following options based on your preferences:
- What you watch: New seasons and episodes, Leaving Soon, Your Collections
- Watch recommendations and more: Top 10, New arrivals, now on Netflix
- Surveys and research invites: Participation studies, surveys
- Netflix Games: Releases, recommendations, gameplay activity
- Netflix.Shop & experiences: Netflix.Shop products, Netflix live experiences
- Using the Netflix app: Suggested features, tips & tricks, parental controls
- Membership offers: Plan upgrades, subscription promotions
- Account updates: Security alerts, billing, time-sensitive notifications
6) If you want to stop all notifications, use the Unsubscribe From All button.
Turn off all app notifications
The Netflix app does not let you adjust your push notification preferences from the mobile app. However, if you want to turn off all notifications from Netflix, you can do that at the operating system level.
On iPhone and iPad
1) Open the Settings app and tap Notifications.
2) Select Netflix from the list of apps.
3) Turn off the switch next to Allow Notifications. This will stop all Netflix notifications on this iPhone.
On Android phone
1) Open the Settings app and tap Notifications.
2) Tap App settings.
3) Turn off the switch next to Netflix. If it doesn’t show, tap the Most recent tab from the top and select All apps to see Netflix.
Still getting Netflix notifications?
iPhone: After you turn off the Allow Notifications switch in iOS Settings, there is no chance you will receive Netflix alerts ever again unless you delete and redownload the app.
Android: Similar to iOS, turning off notifications for Netflix in phone settings should block all alerts. However, you may still see Netflix notifications if you use a custom Lock Screen or launcher that sends notifications.
Bonus tip: Access all your Netflix notifications
Even after you turn off Netflix notifications in phone settings (not Netflix settings), Netflix will continue to send you the alerts, but they won’t show up outside of the app. So, here’s how to see them.
Computer: Click the bell icon from the top right to see all the recent notifications Netflix has sent you.
Phone: Tap My Netflix from the bottom right and choose Notifications.
