Every so often, you wake up and refresh your jailbroken device’s sources to see if there’s anything new that might be of interest to download and try in the jailbreak tweak world.

That was the case with me this morning, and I happened upon a new release dubbed CornBar by iOS developer Wes; and let me just tell you, this add-on is certainly something else.
As you can see in the screenshot examples above, CornBar replaces the Home Bar on jailbroken notched devices with a fully customizable corncob. Yes… you read that right.
Once installed, CornBar adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app, shown above, where you can configure a number of options to your liking:
- Things you can do here include:
- Enable or disable CornBar on demand
- Choose a CornBar length:
- Small
- Medium
- Long
- Adjust the CornBar opacity via a slider
- Adjust the CornBar vertical height via a slider
- Adjust the CornBar scale via a slider
- Reset all settings to their defaults
- Respring your device to save all settings
There’s no way that this tweak release wasn’t some kind of a joke, but I have to admit, it’s still fun to play with and it turns heads.
I don’t know what’s funnier, replacing your Home Bar with a corncob, or the fact that the developer was so detail oriented with all of the customization options included in the tweak. Any way you slice it, it’s neat, and CornBar still works just like the stock Home Bar would despite looking different.
If you’re interested in giving CornBar a try, then you can download it for free from wrp1002’s personal repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports iOS & iPadOS versions 11 through 17 and is fully open source on the developer’s GitHub page for anyone interested in learning more about how it works.
If you’re not already using wrp1002’s repository, then you can add it to your package manager app by using the URL provided below:
