Have you ever wanted to just totally hide your iPhone’s Status Bar from view before?
While it seems like it would be an unpopular option given the pertinent types of information that the Status Bar typically displays, it does seem like hiding it gives minimalists a sleeker user interface that’s worth some pause.
If you’re considering the Status Bar-less aesthetic for one of your devices, then allow me to point you to a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called HideBar by iOS developer CydiaGeek.
As you can see in the screenshot examples above, HideBar applies to every facet of iOS, including the Lock Screen, Control Center, in apps, and even on SpringBoard itself. The all-inclusive hiding of the Status Bar can then only be reversed by uninstalling the HideBar tweak.
If you’d like to try the hidden Status Bar aesthetic out for yourself, then you can download it for free from the YouRepo repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 15 and 16 devices and there are no options to configure.
If you’re not already using the YouRepo repository, and you’d like to start, then you can add it to your package manager app of choice by using the URL provided below:
