Our favorite USB mic for streamers and musicians is on sale for an all-time low $75

This deal is for all of the folks out there doing last-minute holiday shopping for the aspiring streamer or musician in their lives (even if it’s themselves). Amazon has the Yeti Blue microphone discounted down to its all-time low price. The Blue USB mic has been a favorite here at iDB for years, and I believe it was used in most of, if not all, 500+ podcast episodes we’ve done. It sounds great, has a bunch of features, it’s built like a tank, and right now you can grab it for just $75.

Why you should buy the Logitech for Creators Blue Yeti USB Mic

Don’t let the long, scary name fool you. This is still the same Blue Yeti mic that we’ve been recommending for years. It was the first microphone all of us purchased when we decided to start a podcast, and despite having zero experience, we made it work. That’s what’s great about the Yeti—it’s so universal. It’s easy enough to use that it’s perfect for beginners, but it is also powerful enough that it also makes a great affordable option for seasoned veterans.

The highlights:

  • A custom three-capsule array that produces clear, powerful, broadcast-quality sound for YouTube, game streaming, podcasting, Zoom calls and music
  • Four pickup patters include Flexible cardioid, omni, bidirectional, and stereo, meaning you can record in ways that would normally require multiple mics
  • Onboard audio controls include headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute, and mic gain so you can adjust the sound on the fly
  • The included Blue VO.CE software lets you craft the perfect broadcast vocal sound and entertain your audience with enhanced effects, advanced modulation and HD audio samples

The first thing you notice about the Yeti when you open it up is its weight. Don’t let the cheap price fool you, this thing has some beef to it. It also comes with its own [very] sturdy stand, so you don’t have to worry about how you are going to prop it up, or buying additional equipment. How easy is the setup? You plug in a pair of wired headphones to the headphone jack, connect the USB cable from the mic to your computer, boot up your favorite recording software (GarageBand is free), select the Yeti as the input, and hit record. Seriously, that’s it. No drivers to install, no manual to read. Just plug it in, and hit record.

The Yeti’s original price tag is $130, but most of the time we see it bunch between $90-$115 pretty frequently. Today’s $75 deal, which is only for the Teal colorway, is an all-time low price according to Amazon’s pricing history. That means we’ve never seen it at this price before, and we don’t know when or if we will again. So get it while you can.
