Important stuff from this week
Dopamine updated to version 1.1
The Dopamine jailbreak tool for A12-A15 devices running iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1 was updated to version 1.1 on Friday with a long list of bug fixes and performance improvements.
This update is recommended for all Dopamine users and can be installed via the in-app OTA update mechanism or manually via GitHub and TrollStore.

Sideloading iPhone apps on Apple silicon Macs
You can actually install iPhone and iPad apps on Apple silicon-equipped Mac computers, even if those apps aren’t available via the Mac App Store.
The process involves decrypting and sideloading those apps, both of which you can learn about in our detailed step-by-step tutorial.
macOS Sonoma breaks AltServer Mail plug-in
The AltStore team confirmed on Wednesday that macOS Sonoma breaks the Mail app plug-in and that continued use of the platform will require a new method that is currently coming soon.
This means that if you rely on AltStore for sideloading, then you should avoid macOS Sonoma until that AltServer update becomes available.
You can learn more about this in our full news post.
Macaron
You can customize the background of your Home Screen’s Dock with the new Macaron jailbreak tweak.
Not only does it let you set an image as your Dock’s background, but it also allows you to change the blur effect and opacity, among other things.
You can learn more about Macaron and what you can do with it in our full review post.
Shimmer theme
If you’re interested in a slick new Home Screen theme that pairs vibrant colors with an interesting lighting effect, then Shimmer might be for you.
You can learn more about Shimmer and see more of what it looks like in our full review post.
Data Manager
Data Manager is a new app that can be used to back up, restore, and organize your device’s app information on your device without the use of a computer or an internet connection.
The app works seamlessly with jailbroken and non-jailbroken states, allowing you flexible access to your app data. You can even encrypt the data for added security if you’re worried about it getting in the wrong hands.
You can learn more about Data Manager and how it works in our full review post.
AdvancedBrightnessSlider gets rootless support
The commonsense AdvancedBrightnessSlider jailbreak tweak that integrates iOS’ native Reduce White Point feature into Control Center’s display brightness slider has been updated to support rootless iOS & iPadOS 15 jailbreaks like Dopamine and palera1n.
Not only does this tweak integrate with Control Center, but it also integrates with iOS’ native auto-display brightness feature, allowing Reduce White Point to dim your display even further in dark environments.
You can learn more about this in our full news post.
EvilScheme gets rootless support
EvilScheme, a popular jailbreak tweak for setting custom default apps on pwned iPhones and iPads, has been updated to support rootless jailbreaks on iOS & iPadOS 15 and 16, including Dopamine and palera1n.
With it, you can choose a default web browser app besides Safari, a default navigation app besides Maps, a default package manager app besides Cydia or Sileo, and so much more.
