Learn how to customize your Apple TV aerial screen saver by showing or hiding themes like landscape, earth, underwater, or cityscape.

Apple TV supports four screen savers:
- Aerial
- Memories and slideshows from your personal iCloud Photos library, Home Sharing network, or music art
- Portraits from your iCloud Photos, along with a big clock
- Snoopy and Woodstock
Aerial, the default Apple TV screen saver, displays stunning aerial and underwater scenes. You can customize it by showing or hiding specific themes, though no other screen saver style supports themes.
Pick an screen saver theme on your Apple TV
1) Open the Settings app on your Apple TV and select Screen Saver from the main menu.
2) Make sure Aerial is the current screen saver selection.
3) Select Aerials under the Screen Saver Preferences heading.
4) Locate the Themes section to choose from four different themes, each with amazing scenes. Select Show on one or more themes to have your TV switch between them. By default, each theme is set to Show. If you don’t like a theme, set it to Hide.
- Underwater: Scenes of undersea aquatic animals and plants.
- Earth: Shots of earth captured from the International Space Station.
- Cityscape: Views of urban environments and cities.
- Landscape: Views of nature like landforms and rural terrains.
Press the Menu button on your remote to back out or the Home button to return to your Home Screen. From here, press the back button again to see your screen saver.
As they say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” So, being able to choose your aerial theme for the Apple TV screen saver is a thoughtful option.
