How to add YouTube and Vimeo videos in your Pages and Numbers documents

Learn how to add a YouTube or Vimeo video to your Pages or Numbers projects on an iPhone, iPad, and Mac to boost your documents and spreadsheets with media.

Adding YouTube video to Pages on iPhone

You’ll need the link to embed the video in your Pages document or Numbers spreadsheet. After grabbing the URL of a YouTube or Vimeo video, follow the steps below to add it the clip to a Pages or Numbers project on your computer, phone, or tablet.

Mac

1) Open a document in Pages or Keynote and position the cursor at a desired insertion point.

2) Click the Media button in the toolbar or click the Insert menu, then choose Web Video.

3) Paste the YouTube or Vimeo link you copied earlier, and you’ll see a small video preview.

4) If it looks correct, hit the Insert button and the video pops right into the document.

Resize and move the video thumbnail like you would any other object. Clicking the video reveals controls to play, pause, or watch the video on YouTube or Vimeo.

iPhone and iPad

1) Open a Pages or Numbers document, then find a desired spot to embed a video.

2) Tap the plus sign (+) near the top, select the image tab, and choose Web Video.
