Learn all the different ways you can increase the size of app icons on the Home Screen of your iPad (and iPhone) if they’re too small for your liking.

We’ll show you three different ways to make app icons on the Home Screen of your device bigger. All options presented here are tailored for specific scenarios, and you can choose one that fits your needs.
Large App Icons
This iPadOS-exclusive setting only deals with icon size whereas the remaining methods affect other user interface elements. On your iPad, venture into Settings > Home Screen & Dock and turn on the switch for Use Large App Icons. Now exit to the Home Screen and you’ll see bigger app icons.
Display Zoom
Display Zoom enlarges user interface element like bubbles in the Messages app and menus in the Settings app, while enlarging app icons. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom and select Larger Text, then tap Done and confirm by selecting Use Zoomed. Your iPad will restart for the changes to take effect.
Bigger app icons, but without labels
Hiding labels under app icons will make app icons a tad bigger. Start by holding an empty area on the Home Screen until the icons start jiggling, then tap Edit > Customize in the top-left corner. Touch the dual-square button in the top-right corner of the Customize panel to hide app labels, which will enlarge app icons.
To revert to default icon size, repeat the steps above but turn the setting off.
