How to set up iCloud email forwarding to another address

Learn how to forward your iCloud emails to Gmail, Outlook, or any other account to keep all your messages in one inbox and improve your email management.

Creating email forwarding rule in Apple Mail app on iCloud.com

Managing multiple email accounts doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Whether you use iCloud Mail for shopping receipts, travel plans, or personal messages, you can easily forward all incoming emails to your main inbox to avoid checking multiple accounts separately or worry about missing important messages.

With iCloud Mail on the web, setting up email forwarding is quick and simple. We’ll show you how to forward all your iCloud emails automatically, or just specific ones, and then turn off this feature later.

Forward incoming iCloud emails to another account

1) Visit iCloud.com/mail in a web browser on your computer and sign in with your Apple account.

2) Click the gear icon near the top-left corner and choose Settings.

Going to iCloud Mail app Settings

3) Select Forwarding on the left side.

4) Tick the box next to “Forward my email to:” on the right side, then enter the email address where you’d like to forward your incoming iCloud emails, like your Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, or any other email account.

5) You can optionally tick the box next to “Delete messages after forwarding” to have iCloud Mail automatically delete messages after they have been forwarded to another account.

6) Click the X button to close the iCloud Mail settings.

To test whether forwarding works correctly, shoot an email to your iCloud account and then check if the message has been forwarded to the account you entered above.

If you can’t remember your iCloud email address, it’s listed in the Account section of your iCloud Mail settings on the web, along with any aliases you’ve created.

You can remove email forwarding just as easily; just head back to the Forwarding section in your iCloud Mail settings and untick the box next to “Forward my email to:”.

Only forward specific iCloud emails

If you’d like to only forward incoming emails from specific senders or containing a particular phrase in the subject line, you’ll need to create a forwarding rule in iCloud Mail.

1) Visit iCloud.com/mail in a desktop browser and sign in with your Apple account.

2) Click the gear icon near the top-left corner and choose Settings.

2) Select the Rules option on the left side, and then click Add New Rule or hit the plus button (+) on the right side.
