Learn how to share voicemails from your iPhone as audio files with people, apps, nearby devices or yourself for reference, safekeeping or other purposes.
You can easily share a voicemail from your iPhone or send it wirelessly to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac in your proximity. While you cannot export voicemails from the built-in Phone app to a compatible calling app like WhatsApp, sharing a voicemail will send a standard audio file you can open in any media app.
Share a voicemail from your iPhone
1) Open the built-in Phone app on your iPhone running iOS 26 and select the Calls tab. Now hit the menu in the top-right corner (three-line icon) and choose Voicemail. Or, choose Classic in the menu to revert to the old look so you can select the Voicemail tab in the bottom-right corner, like on iOS 18 and older.
2) Select a voicemail and hit the share icon, then choose how to send it from standard options such as Messages, Mail, Notes, and more. Or, hit the AirDrop icon to send his voicemail to a nearby device.
